Domaine Yann Durieux
Founded in the early 2010s, Domaine Yann Durieux has emerged as one of the most distinctive and uncompromising voices in contemporary Burgundy. Based in Messanges in the Hautes-Côtes de Nuits, the domaine reflects the singular vision of Yann Durieux, whose formative years alongside trailblazing estates such as Prieuré-Roch deeply shaped his approach to natural, terroir-focused winemaking.
Working with small parcels across the Hautes-Côtes de Nuits and Côte de Beaune, primarily planted to Pinot Noir alongside Aligoté and Chardonnay, Durieux practices biodynamic-inspired viticulture without certification. In the cellar, his philosophy is minimalist and intuitive: native yeast fermentations, no added sulfur, and long, gentle élevage allow the wines to find their own balance and expression.
Yann Durieux’s wines are defined by their energy, texture, and striking freshness, offering vibrant fruit, subtle spice, and a raw yet precise sense of place. Produced in very limited quantities and highly sought after, cuvées such as Love and Pif, Reugne, and En Roue Libre have earned near-cult status among sommeliers and collectors. Today, the domaine stands as a compelling symbol of a freer, more expressive Burgundy—one that favors authenticity, emotion, and living soils over convention.
